Garrett, our Head Wrangler at RODEO!
I worked there the summer of 1962. Head wrangler was Ray Batten. I would take the horses out to pasture at night and brought them in the morning and took out rides during the day. I rode a horse called Rattler most of the time. They would tell me how to find the start of the trail and Rattler would bring us back to the ranch. Some day I will come visit.
I was the Childrens Counselor and Wrangler working the summer of 1962 with Doug Sysel, Art Badgett, Dan Chilcoat. Ray Batten gave me my first spurs. Meezie and Ernie Keyes owned the Ranch then. Two of their 3 girls were there. Lynn Keyes (age 12) was my favorite. I rode that darn Little Buck all summer, what a chore. I’m trying to recall who you are. Tell me about yourself. dawnjanov@aol.com
